Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, has established a new milestone by leading the ICC T20 rankings for more than 1,050 days.
When the ICC released its most recent T20I rankings on Wednesday, his teammate Mohammad Rizwan had risen to the top position, deposing the captain as the best batter.
The flamboyant 27-year-old batter held it for 1,082 days, making his career-long total of 1,155 days spent in the top slot (as of 7 September).
