Pakistan's match against Afghanistan in the 2022 Asia Cup is slated for this Wednesday.
DUBAI: Prior to their second Super Four match against Afghanistan on Wednesday, the Pakistani team has got some encouraging news.
The bowler Shahnawaz Dahani has made great progress, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), after suffering an injury during Pakistan's match against Hong Kong on Friday.
The pacemaker is under constant observation by the team's medical board.
Young bowler Mohammad Hasnain took Dahani's position and performed admirably against India on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium, helping his team defeat the Men in Blue by five wickets.
The local cricket regulating body also announced that tomorrow's MRI scan findings for wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan would be gathered, after which choices would be made.
In addition to experiencing a cramp, Rizwan, who collapsed on his right leg while keeping a high ball against India, is also experiencing knee pain.
In their upcoming Super Four match, Pakistan and Afghanistan will square off on Wednesday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
